Pondero Newbury – Hypnotherapy: How it can help during the menopause
Women are becoming increasingly aware that the menopause is something that they don’t just have to endure. In fact, there are so many ways of dealing with the symptoms from lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise to therapeutic tools such as hypnotherapy.
HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) is widely known to help reduce and alleviate the symptoms of the menopause. Although there are an increasing number of women now using HRT, it is not for everyone and there are some women who either can’t use it for medical reasons or they would prefer not to. Hypnotherapy can help either as a stand-alone therapy or complement HRT and work in tandem to focus on specific symptoms.
Hypnotherapy is a way of accessing the subconscious mind; that deeper part of your mind that stores your memories, habits, beliefs, thoughts and feelings and making changes that can help you to feel how you’d like to feel instead. It can help in a variety of ways and common symptoms that can benefit from hypnotherapy include hot flushes, anxiety, lack of confidence, sleep disturbance and low mood along with many other common symptoms.
